Conflict Management Policy

There are times when we may find ourselves disagreeing with one another. Regardless of the nature of the conflict, it is expected that all players will treat each other with respect and work together to find common ground where possible.

To help manage conflict when and where it arises, the following steps will be applied:

Step 01: If possible, contact the other player directly via email or private message. Describe to them what it is that is frustrating, aggravating, or hurting you in a way that is constructive and not unnecessarily confrontational or demeaning.

Step 02: If you feel the other player is not listening to or respecting your concerns, contact the commanding officer. They will serve as moderator and will help the players involved attempt to find resolution.

Step 03: If the situation still has not been resolved or the player you are in conflict with is the commanding officer, contact the task force commanding officer. They will direct you to the appropriate community resources for addressing and resolving your conflict.

NOTE: If, at any point in time, you are feeling unsafe or directly threatened by something another player is doing, contact the commanding officer immediately. They will work with you (and any other appropriate individuals) to address the situation. If the individual in question is the commanding officer, then contact the task force commanding officer.

Attempts will be made by the command staff to facilitate an equitable resolution among the players involved. If, however, a player proves unwilling and/or unable to participate faithfully in the conflict management process, that player may be removed from the simulation.

It is possible for individuals who have been removed because of unresolved conflict to be reinstated. However, they must discuss the matter with the commanding officer, resolve any existing conflict to the satisfaction of those involved, and commit to a plan of action that will minimize the chance of any potential issues moving forward.

Follow-Up

Questions, comments, and concerns are always welcomed and should be directed to a member of the sim command staff via private message or mail.
